Another fun contest!
This one comes from the amazing Vivian Kirkfield. The rules are simple. (The challenge is not!)
Write a story appropriate for children ages 12 and under, using no more than 50 words.
50 words. Yikes! That's not a lot of words. As it turns out, people can do some pretty impressive things with just 50 words. Check out Vivan's blog to take a look at the other entries.
And without further ado, and with a big thanks to Vivian for running this contest, here's my entry:
THE LIVING BOUQUET
She picked a flower for her mother.
She picked another.
So she led her mother to the garden.
There they stood, hand in hand, watching flowers bend, bumblebees bumble, a hawk circle above, and clouds transform from rabbits into sailboats.
